Information for Parents

We value our relationship with all parents and want to keep parents/carers up to date with what's happening at school, as we believe communication is key to building a positive relationship between school and home.  Please use the left-hand navigation to find useful information. The menu gives access to the most frequently requested info, if you require any assistance or have suggestions for additional information you would like to see here, please contact the school office, Tel: 0118- 9832332, (full details on our contacts page) or you may use our contact form to send a message.

Drop off and Collection: Schools have a duty to safeguard children in their care. Having systems in place to make sure they are dropped off and collected safely is an important part of this.  Please also note that smoking on site is NOT permitted (either cigarette or e-cigarette).  Dogs are also NOT allowed on site, for the health and safety of the school community.

General: Please visit our class pages, the children have lots of exciting work to show you and it's fantastic to see and read about all the brilliant things that happen in a school day!  General Information on our Nursery provision can also be found on Our Classes and Nurseries section. More detailed information can be found in our dedicated Little Acorns Class page or our dedicated Acorns Class page.

School Visits: There are lots of opportunities throughout the school year for parents to come into school, such as class parent lunches and class assemblies. We also have an open afternoon in the summer term for parents to come in and see the children's wonderful work! The dates of these events are included in the whole school planner which we send out at the beginning of each academic year.

Parent Volunteers, if you wish to become further involved with the school we are always looking for assistance with outdoor learning, outside visits and as reading mentors to the children. You can commit as much time as you like, regular sessions or just one off visits, we really do value your experiences and the children benefit enormously.  Please speak to a teacher in any class or contact the school office if you can spare any time at all.  Our Outdoor learning page has further information and a presentation on the fantastic benefits children gain from learning outdoors.  (You will need to complete an induction prior to volunteering and this can be arranged via the school office).
